The RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon will visit the 1st Baptist Church, 3440 178th St., Lansing, Ill., on July 15 where the balloon crew will present an interactive educational program developed and sponsored by the RE/MAX Northern Illinois real estate network.

In the audience will be 150 to 200 students and many of their parents, all of whom will learn about various aspects of ballooning, including its history and the scientific principles involved. They also will see a demonstration on how the balloon functions.

The program will be presented at 2 p.m. outdoors, weather permitting. Plans call for the 75-foot-tall balloon envelope to be partially inflated with air so that the students can walk inside it.
