August 14, 2012 /India PRwire/ -- Super Religare Laboratories (SRL), pioneer of medical diagnostics in India, today announced the appointment of Mr. Sanjeev Vashishta as Chief Executive Officer of the company.

In his overall professional experience spanning more than 22 years, Mr. Vashishta has worked in various capacities in 'Old Economy' sectors such as textiles and chemicals, and also in 'New Economy' sectors such as IT and telecom. Apart from handling the Company Secretary and legal functions, he is experienced in raising funds through IPOs, rights Issue, FCCBs, etc. and has successfully managed treasury and banking functions.

Before joining SRL, Mr. Vashishta worked with Fortis Healthcare Limited in the position of Zonal Director, Rajasthan, and was responsible for managing hospitals and the heart care/satellite centres in the state of Rajasthan. He has also worked as Director - Growth & Business Planning at the company, spearheading the Mergers & Acquisition function, and was instrumental in acquiring the hospitals, giving shape to various operations and management tie ups and concluding several Public Private Partnership (PPP) deals.

He has been exposed to the functioning of various hospitals in the country and abroad. Mr. Vashishta has also served on the boards of several companies. He has also been involved in executing various cross border transactions.

Mr. Vashishta has been holding various positions, including being the Invitee Member of the Rajasthan State Council of the CII, since 2011-12. He is also the Convener of the Panel on Services (Healthcare, Telecom, Banking and Retail) of the CII, Rajasthan. Mr. Vashishta has also been nominated as the Member of the State Council of FICCI. He has been associated with National HRD Network; currently, he is Vice President of the National HRD Network, Jaipur Chapter.

Mr. Vashishta is a management graduate from University Business School, Punjab University, Chandigarh, and is also a qualified Company Secretary from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, New Delhi.
