GIGABYTE Opening Exclusive Service Centers at Key Market Locations in India IT News Online 2012-05-24Mumbai -- IT News Online -- GIGABYTE Technology (India) Pvt. Ltd. has started on its plan to open GIGABYTE Exclusive Service Centers at key market locations across the country, in order to enhance its Pan-India service reach and customer engagement.
The company recently opened a full-fledged GIGABYTE Exclusive Service Center in Mumbai, while work on similar centers in Ahmedabad, New Delhi, Kolkata and Cochin, are nearing the completion stage.
To have absolute control over operations at these centers, GIGABYTE India said it has not only taken the property on rent, but also has equipped them with high-end BGA repair machines, and 4 to 5 skilled engineers (including those from Taiwan) per center, who are capable of providing even Level 4 motherboard repairs. The company has also invested in the fixed costs involved, such as interiors and the relevant infrastructure.
The centers, averaging about 1,000 sq. ft., will be located either within or near the main IT hardware markets of the respective cities. The company said the centers' proximity to the IT market hubs in the allotted regions, will also go a long way in helping resellers provide quicker and improved services to their customers.
The centers will act as service hubs for the rest of the country. For example, the New Delhi office will be a hub for the entire northern India, including the states of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand. Accel Frontline, GIGABYTE's service partner, will also provide manpower support for the centers' activities.
"The opening of the offices aligns perfectly with the company’s India growth strategy," said Sunil Grewal, Sales Director - India, GIGABYTE Technology. "We have been witnessing a steady market growth in India despite the recent slump in the PC market. And having such full-fledged service centers becomes a natural progression for us in our bid to provide improvised, one-point solutions for services. The service centers will help us improve market responsiveness and customer relationship - to match and support our growth. The basic objective is to make service delivery model cost-effective and quick for the customers, resulting in a much faster turnaround time."
To complement the new service centers, GIGABYTE India also has over 30 Premier Partners operating as Special Service Partners (SSPs) that basically are collection points. The company has got Across the Table Replacement (ATR) centers in Bangalore, Hubli, Panjim, Mumbai (Tardeo/Andheri), New Delhi, Chennai, Ernakulam, Secundarabad, Ahmedabad, Bhuvaneshwar, Patna, Indore, Ludhiana, and Kolkata. More such centers are being opened in Chandigarh, Surat, Pune, Nagpur, Raipur, and Guwahati.
Over 30 Accel Care Centers (ACC) act as collection points for GIGABYTE motherboards, while there are over 100 Authorized Service Providers (ASPs) that are also collection points. ATRs, ACCs and ASPs are part of Accel Frontline, GIGABYTE's service partner.
