Bend, OR, August 11, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Smolich Nissan and the entire Smolich Motors family are proud to join local non-profit 31 Paws in their quest to assist financially strapped pet owners throughout the Bend and Central Oregon area provide medical support and improve the welfare of their companion animals. To raise money for 31 Paws grant program, Awbrey Glenn Golf Club will be hosting a charity Golf Tournament on August 18th, with 100% of proceeds going directly to animals in need.

To date, 31 Paws has helped over 65 local pet owners through projects that fund shelter vaccine and medication treatments, veterinary care subsidies, rescue cost support, and community education. The name, 31 Paws, reflects the two founding directors’ eight dogs, one of which is a tripod, and for which six were rescued from high volume / high kill shelters. In addition to sponsoring the competitive Golf Tournament, Smolich Motors will be donating a 2012 Jeep Wrangler to one lucky Hole-in-One prize winner. Additional prizes will be given to the top gross and top net teams and individuals.
