| HCL social workers prepare for move Down Under
Wednesday 8 August, 2012
HCL Permanent held a ‘meet and greet’ event recently for their first group of successful candidates relocating to Australia later this year as part of a drive to recruit child protection social workers to relocate to sunny Australia.
The social workers and their families met at HCL head office at Old Bailey and enjoyed a group lunch and the opportunity to meet future colleagues with their families.
HCL International Resourcer Katt George said the event was a fantastic opportunity for networking.
''We hosted nearly 30 attendees and it was a great to see everyone sharing their experiences in preparation for the move Down Under.'' Ms George said.
"Additionally, we were able to equip our candidates with information and advice for when they arrive including opening bank accounts and shipping items over, as well as put them in touch with HCL recruits already settled in Australia." She said.
Children of the social workers got involved in some pre-lunch craft with the help of HCL Permanent staff, making miniature kangaroo carry bags and origami koalas. Everybody took the opportunity to get creative with some new species invented, including a three-eyed koala and some two-tailed kangaroos!
HCL Permanent extends a thank you to everybody involved for making the day a success, and to National Australia Bank for generously sponsoring the event.
